WaxAway is a food safe cleaner specially designed to remove propolis, wax and other debris from plastic and metal beekeeping equipment.
Directions for Use:
- Dissolve 10-15 grams of WaxAway powder per 10L of cold water.
- Bring the washing solution to a stable temperature of 75°C. Do not add WaxAway into hot water.
- Soak your beekeeping equipment for at least 30 minutes or until sufficiently cleaned. Note: To assist with the removal of stubborn wax, particularly on brood frames, some brushing may be required.
- Skim to remove any debris that floats to the top of the vessel before removing equipment.
- Rinse all equipment well in fresh water.
WaxAway in solution can be stored and reheated if needed. It is best practice to batch run bee keeping equipment and prepare a fresh solution each time.
